Little and large

Birch and ?
I think it might be a type of whitebeam. I was going back to the car after a meeting in Perth and there were these huge leaves on the path, more than 6 inches long and 5 inches wide. On arrival home I noticed the birch leaves were the same colour.
Driving to Perth was very frustrating - the sun was just coming through and there were some fantastic views but I hadn't time to stop as I was a bit late.
Another 3 hours painting this afternoon.
