For those who have been following the saga, suffice it to say that the cat toy is still chirping despite successive attempts to batter, drown and suffocate it. I am left wondering why such robust power packs are never installed in things like phones, cameras or mp3 players... you know the kind of things that get dropped in puddles and stood on???

PS This innovative sound cancelling device has been patented. In two years time I hope to have a large factory producing cat toy noise cancellers (CTNC's) for unsuspecting felinophiles. I have asked the Scottish Government for a grant to cover pump priming costs. As the CTNC will prevent significant levels of stress amongst the felinophilic population and as this will, in turn, reduce associated health costs, they have agreed to fund the project.
