So, I saw the Egypt v Brazil game was on... Flicked through more channels, watched something for a bit, got bored, looked for something else... and eventually put on the game. That's how much sport grabs my attention.
I was quite surprised then that I was unable to keep my eyes off the screen and was greatly disturbed when my mother demanded that I do something productive!
Maybe it was my attachment with Egypt (it being my birthplace) or maybe it was just me looking for a way to be attached. It's horrible when you grow up IN a place knowing it is not your home.
Or is it?
When I moved to Scotland I surely was moving "home", but did not feel any more a part of this country than the country of my birth.
This is when I realised that growing up, knowing that the world you live in is not your home is the best way to look forward to your real home, heaven. Losing attachment to the world allows us to be used by God wherever He needs us.
I've been truly blessed.
