Lonesome Tree

On a rather grey day I went looking for some inspiration while Mrs B was shopping in Campbeltown. On the Southend Road I came across this tree looking rather sorry for itself, having not just lost all its leaves, but also a couple of large branches.

A milky sun, that was trying to break through the clouds, cast the tree in silhouette and gave it a rather eerie appearance. Maybe it had something to do with the branch on the left, which looked to me like an old witches arm and hand, possibly in pain at the loss of its other limbs!

There again, maybe all this blipping is simply getting to my imagination!
