A family blip meet with Tanya

Back-blipped on 16th November 2011

Helena's elder sister, Tanya , is in London for a week visiting her oldest daughter Christina, who is studying at Central St. Martins art school. Her other daughter, Immy, who has a half-term holiday away from her Bahraini school has accompanied them. I missed them when they visited our house last week, so Tanya very kindly arranged for us to have dinner last night, with a friend of her's from Bahrain who has a London home.

I was very tired, but really pleased to see them all, particularly as they are moving to New Zealand in February, and they won't be able to visit us so often. I introduced Tanya to Blipping recently, where she is now a regular contributor, and has the delightful prospect of returning home to her brand new Canon 60D camera, a gift from husband Nicky. I can't wait to see the results!

I took a few pictures at the restaurant and had hoped we might blip each other. But Christina said she would take a picture of me, as I seldom seem to feature in my own blips. I just handed her the camera with the settings I had been using and so here I am, with Tanya, courtesy of Christina. It was lovely to be with them and I am only too sad that it may be a while before we meet again. Hopefully Christina will come with her boyfriend and stay with us again in Stroud. She is such fun and will always be welcome.
