The Vet

We took the kitties to the vet's today to update their vaccines, and I must say it went quite well. Kong as usual just loves being around people, and then there was the added bonus of treats that the vet gave him while administering the vaccine. Jet, as usual, doesn't like new people and hissed a bit, but she came around with a bit of persuasion, and love from me. All in all they are healthy cats, weighting 5.7 (Jet) and 6.5 (Kong) pounds and they both have great teeth.

I'm a sucker, and bought them these handmade, knitted catnip toys when paying for the vaccines (not cheap btw) and as you can see Kong loves his, I doubt there will be much of it left by morning. Jet prefers just to rub her head against hers (it's purple :D). They also got a nice feed of wet cat food, lucky kitties. We have to head back in December to get the booster, but I bet that will be a piece of cake after today!

Other then that it's been a pretty lazy day again. I slept for a lot of it and nursed a hangover for the rest. It was a late night out with a few of the guys the Mister works with, and might I add they adore him, and always have his back. It's nice, he's been helping one guy cope with the lose of his girlfriend who committed suicide a few weeks back now. It was the second death in a week for the work place, and I can say that I'm proud of the b'ys who in light of everything have been coping very well, and working on their drug addictions (we don't have any, but cooks are usually pretty bad for them, and the mister works with a lot of cooks). So a high five for them all!
