Dead cabbage

What is it with me and dead plants lately?

While you can't see it, the leaves are dried to a crisp, dessicated by sun and wind. It retained its color, which makes touching it surprising. I didn't expect it to be crispy.

Throat hurts. Hope it goes away pronto.
