Cape Town, South Africa Trip Backblip:

Nobody should be getting up at 5am on their vacation.

But sometimes that's necessary, especially if you plan to visit the Aquila Private Game Reserve for a day safari.

It was a difficult 2hr drive, difficult because there were so many unbelievable views of the mountain ranges we were driving through, yet my hands had to stay on the steering wheel and not my camera.

Aquila is gorgeous, and the accommodations are amazing. Our safari around the park proved eventful when a bull decided to ram the back of our truck, thus busting out a taillight. An elephant also decided to have a feel around the tourists with his trunk while passing by. Beyond that we got to enjoy some hippos, rhinos, lions, wild boars, and zebras.

If you're visiting South Africa at any point in your life, go to one of these reserves, it's completely worth it.
