This morning was the most wonderful of any I've experienced in Oslo. Last night we got the first serious frost of the year, and the whole day was quite cold and brisk. I love that because it reminds me that winter is coming, and makes me somewhat nostalgic for Minnesota. Even better, the sun was shining, the sky was virtually cloudless, and the fog that had enveloped the city all yesterday and last night was burning off.
I save visits to Akershus Fortress for only the nicest of days, and this certainly qualified. After my last class of the semester, I headed down to the waterfront with some friends and caught the last bit of fog rolling off the tip of Aker Brygge out into the fjord.
Favorite parts of this shot? I love how you can't see where the fjord ends and the sky begins, and I love that single solitary trail of smoke on the right.
