Dusky Ducks.

It is the time of year when driving along I suddenly take off down a side road as the light is doing wonderful things, and I know there is a patch which will look great, at that moment ...... if I hurry.

Barrowden village pond is one such place.
It has two cute duck houses (public not political ones) and some charming photogenic duck.

Here they are, in the sunset, grooming up for a night in one of their fox-proof floating mansions.
