Second's Out
Back blipped for 11.11.11
We were on our way to visit my 91-year-old Aunt and dived into town to buy some flowers to take, parking in the Highcross carpark.
We observed the Remembrance Day two minutes' silence with the shopping mall and afterwards were at the pay station in time to blip the date and time with all the elevens - then the camera took a fraction too long in operating the shutter, so I am one second out. Oh, well, can't win 'em all.
The home serves lunch at 1pm so we only spent an hour and a half with J before we had to leave, such a short visit. (Sometimes we are invited to stay for lunch but not this time).
It was too early to continue to see my friends so we went to my home village and had lunch in the pub, I don't think I'd ever set foot in the place all the time I (and my folks) lived there, which is a shame because it's old and has character (though I recognised none of the clientele).
C and J were dog-sitting so we were entertained with games until he was collected then spent the evening catching up on news local, church and foreign until it was time to nip up the road for our last night in the delightful lodging.
