WE SAVED A FISH
Mischa and I a little plaice it was. First the three of us walked along the shore. No Harry or Sally this morning, it was real cold. Ripe on the plants, meadows white.
Then a little splash and we saw the fish at low water of the ebb. Mischa took her in her hands and brought her in deeper water. Because of the crack in her boots her feet went wet and terrible cold. So we cycled home and drank our coffee hot.
I went to the pond to feed some birds, many actually. The swans were bathing and washing in the soft sunshine. again very cold hands.
The sun gets warmer now. I will go to the Gemeentemuseum and the Fotomuseum with my dear friend Mieke (our neighbour when we lived in Kamerik), a long time member of the photoclub Iris in Woerden.
My haiku:
Do you remember
Piggelmee and the fish
Miracle fish in the sea?
Probably not, the story and the pictures one had to collect from buyingparcels coffee or tea, brand: Van Nelle. I used to know the first sentences by heart.
And the Yiddish proverb:
It is better that luck seek the woman/man than woman/man seek luck.
