Gotcha
I wasn't quick enough this morning...........he got the camera.
That is one of the problems tring to fill the frame using thw eide angle - you have to get so close...... and he is getting so quick.
But at least there were no buttery fingerprints on the lens.
When we went to dump our mouldy bread feed the ducks SWMBO saw a length of fishing line blowing past her.
So for safety sake she stood on it so she cou;d pick it up and get rid of it safely.
What she didn't realise (and I wasn't quick enough to warn her about) was the line was attached to a 3way hook, which in turn was attached to the webbing on a gooses foot.
When she stomped on the line the goose was trying to take a step forward -- it nearly broke its beak as it pitched forward and went its length in a mass of flapping feathers and much squacking and honking.
Luckily this dislodged the hook without damage (apart to the gooses pride).
It was actually quite comical.
Have you ever seen a swans neck fully stetched? (you have now) .............. it is loooooong.
When we had arrived we saw 3 people with about half a dozen new loaves of bread and one of them seemed to be stringing metal things (which SWMBO thought was popcorn ....... daft woman).
As we got closer to them we found they were ringing birds.
The Cygnet was facinated with it all and was captivated as they put the ring CAX on a coot.
Or maybe he just couldn't believe the way the girl just sat there not in the slightest bit bothered as the birds pecked and scratched (I hadn't realised that coots had such huge sharp claws) and crapped all over her.
It was noted that the blokes wore all in one padded waterproofs ........... they had obviosly done it before.
Camera club print competition this evening.
I didn't do too well.
Good critique - but the marks didn't quite marry up.
