we seemed to have been getting into the spirit of the relaxed weekend away by thinking we could see a face in the foam but it just looks like foam now

i finally did manage to relax and we had two lovely lochside walks in the misty autumn afternoon

found a fire, fine carrot cake, and a steam room

followed by dinner and a very dark bedtime walk. there's something wonderfully surreal about walking when you can hardly see your own feet.
