Tennis Elbow Injection

I have had tennis elbow for about a year. Today I went to an ortho clinic to get a hydrocortisone or more correctly a corticosteroid injection.

It's a long story, but the interesting bit was being asked if I was a 'fainter'. 'No' I said, as I have never fainted and I have had a lot of injections, broken bones, surgery etc etc and never once felt like fainting. (you can guess what's gonna happen !)

OK, said the physio, let's do it. I didn't look at the needle going in but it was pretty sore, and after 10 seconds or so the pain had stopped. 'Finished?' I said. 'Nope' that was just the needle 'Here comes the juice'. Well now it really was getting sore and after she took out the needle for about 15 seconds I just sat there. Then the heart starts to beat faster, then the mouth goes dry, then my vision starts to go a bit sparkly.

Nurse said the colour dropped out my face. Didn't quite lose consciousness, but I was 75% of the way there. 10mins on a bed with my feet up and cold cloth on the forehead and I was fine. Felt a bit nauseous all afternoon

Another fantastic Monday
