The Monadh Liath
I say Monadh Liath, I actually don't know if this is the Monadh Liath or not. It's a bunch of hills that you see looking north-west from the A9 between Dalwhinnie and Kingussie. Anyway, whatever they are called, this is what these hills looked like at a little after eight o'clock this morning.
The light got better as I drove north after I took this photograph. And by the time I was going past Aviemore and Carrbridge it was gorgeous early morning sunshine. This continued all the way over the Slochd summit, but then, as the road started to descend to Inverness at Milton of Leys, it became just thick thick fog. And Inverness has been covered in thick thick fog the whole day long.
