misty evening in Spitalfields
Spent the day on site in South Kensington and then had to meet Martin in Spitalfields.
Martin's one of the good guys, el supremo of a pie company
I really liked the building looming mistily behind this row of shops and offices, Spitalfields in spite of being minutes from Liverpool Street and it's recent rather bland gentrification manages to be a very interesting and varied area with some great things to see.
High on my list of places I must see soon is 19 Princelet Street, which looks fascinating and I have always wanted to visit the Georgian house in Folgate Street, which I've only seen the outside of
And of course it's a short walk to Fournier Street and it's rows of Georgian houses, Brick Lane with it's rows of curry houses (all sadly a bit the same and not a patch on the days twenty years ago when you could be served on formica topped tables and have food like no other) and Shoreditch with it's rows of arty galleries and other interesting places. Definitely worth a visit then
