Airtrain
I took this photo while waiting in traffic on my way home today. A journey that would usually take 35 mins took over 2 hours. I was a bit tetchy when I got home. One thing I have to say about South East Queenland: The roads are pathetic. Everyone wants to live here but the government won't invest more than a pittance in the road infrastructure. Then I heard today that the Queensland Premier gave one of her staff a $53 per hour payrise. I wonder how much longer the general public will stand for this kind of treatment...If I know Australians, they will put up with it for quite a while. Our governments are taking us for granted.
Not good enough.
Anyway, there I was in the traffic under the Airport Airtrain bridge and I thought,"That would make a nice shot". Later I took some more of my run of the mill stuff, boats and harbour shots. I came home and spent nearly an hour on an HDR of some boats at sunset. Before I posted I had a quick look at this for fun. I ended up using it for my blip because a) I like it, and b) it relates to something that happened to me today.
The traffic was so bad because the motorway was closed. They only close it when there is a fatality.
Two minutes after I took this photo a train came past. Not sure if it would have enhanced or spoilt the photo.
