Pencil Full Of Lead
Ok.
Had some time today, and in an attempt to bond with the camera i thought a bit of a play with a camera technique from a camera magazine might be in order.
Good idea, good idea, yes? yes?........NO!
The time i thought i had fled from me, albeit in a good way, which involved swimming. decorating Christmas items and going for a spooky night time stroll.
Unfortunately this left little time to experiment.
The idea was to simulate breaking pencil lead by blowing some previously broken debris across the shot and catching it with a fast shutter.
Sadly not having three hands it was proving difficult to master, so i called for my assistant, who was entrusted with blowing the debris whilst i pressed the shutter....
I had not instructed helper on how hard to blow the bits however, and summoning up all her total lung volume she did her best impression of the big bad wolf and:
Blew the bits down and off the table before i could say go!!!!!!!
Suitably chastened, and after recovering from painfully loud giggles, we took the obvious action, and gave up!!!
That'll teach me to be arty....
