Back Blip

Day 1 (of 4)

We set of at 6.30am this morning, stopping at many places along the coastline.  Took the coast road from Oamaru with numerous stops for bird and cliff photography.  Oh, and a few coffee stops as well.  Arrived at The Catlins a little late (a little smack on the hands).  Headed overto Jacks Bay and Blowhole, the wind was lazy (straight through you, not around you), lots of photograph of the waves, the landscapes and a little old shack on the hill,  then back for a very quick & early meal.  Back into the cars, to Longpoint Bay. We were very fortunate to have a local farmer take us down some very steep and slippery cliffs to view some nesting penguins, a bonus was the stunning sunset and sky.
