Fuzzy Orange Things
Spent a couple nice warm hours out in the garden putting in winter seedlings (escarole, broccoli and bok choy) and clearing a few paths. Mr. SoozaDay handles a mean garden fork with his one movable hand, and was able to turn the small vegetable bed and add a lot of yummy amendments to the soil. I'm trying to leave more space between the plants this time, but the temptation is always to stuff more into the rows; it's never easy to remember that these tiny two-leaved things grow up to be pretty hefty creatures.
The fuzzy orange things are the tight little buds of the Lion's Tail (Leonotis leonurus). They unfurl into lovely tubular petals...
