And the lights went out

Believe it or not this is our front hall looking good ? or rather it would if the lights had not just blown.

We have pulled down old walls, built new walls, renewed the wiring, had all the walls and ceilings freshly plastered or skimmed, a new front door fitted and it looks a million bucks compared to when we started renovating it. Imagine wood chip with Aertex on top, painted bright purple and you?re in the right ball park.

Still a long way off getting it painted and carpet down but we are getting there slowly. I?m off to Poland this weekend for a joint Birthday bash ? 8 of us are all 40 this year and so all the lads are having a weekend away to celebrate. Liz has been very good about it and not complained once about me going away with all this work still to do. I?m not suspicious but am wondering if there is a weekend away with the girls in the offing and she is waiting for me to return home before she mentions it?..
