moth

The air was cool and I assumed the moth was dead until I picked it up from the sidewalk and held it for a moment. Slowly it demonstrated it's urge to live and moved it's wings and appendages. I placed it on a tree trunk where I must unfortunately presume it was good bait for a hungry Robin.
