Soggy Riverbank Wanderings.

A rather wet and earthy-smelling walk by the river Dee today; it felt a bit like we were walking through a cloud. The autumn colours of the leaves still shone through, though, as a reminder that it's not quite winter yet.

What a lovely weekend I've had in Banchory, eating far too much food (including half a large trifle and a slice of mouth-watering chocolate cake), lazy Sunday-morning book-reading and walking two excitable doggies.

Back to work tomorrow, but first... Leftovers for tea, a glass of wine, and Hugh's River Cottage Veg on the TV. Bliss!
