Four in hand

Made reasonable progress today with this pair of horses, but there's a lot yet to do.

The bay needs to be much darker, and I need to sort out what's going on with its reins - I've either lost one or got one too many...can't decide which.

I've also had to fudge the darks behind the lower part of the chestnut because I can't work out what's going on in the shadows - photoshop notwithstanding.

But at leads I got rid of the blue blot by the chestnut's eye ....

11 year old grandson was here today and said "Don't worry granddad - its only a work in progress"

He's got a future as a critic, I fancy... should he make it to his twelfth birthday next month.
