Fog Fungi

Ater yesterday's blue skies, the fog returned today and didn't depart. Visibility and light were poor, but a brief foray out onto the moor did bring about some worthwhile fungal encounters.

This picture shows just how wet the moor is getting, and it will stay like this through the winter. Although there were more distinctive mushrooms than these out there today, I liked the simplicity of this pair, set against the lush mosses, sedges and grasses.
