The Canadian Cross
First discovered this remote place in the New Forest back in the summer so decided this is where I wanted to be on Remembrance Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised to find over a hundred people there holding a service of remembrance, including over 60 bikers from the New Forest Harley-Davidson Club! Had a chat with some of the veterans afterwards who explained how they found the original wooden cross back in the 70's and replaced it with a new one, and with the help of the Forestry Commission fenced off this small area and made it into a memorial to the Canadians who were stationed there during WWII. More photos available here!
Please look in large to see the two flags.
My video of the Bikers can be seen here!
