The Young Model

This very young woman had just come from a portfolio shoot. Her mother had parted with 1000 pounds for a 'professional quality portfolio.' She was ushered into a small studio, made up and then shot for a half an hour. She was given absolutely no direction and felt 'that they couldn't be fussed with her.' It left her feeling a bit tearful and shaken up. I had to wonder about the glamour model make up on a girl so young. They have made her promises about a career in high fashion and as lovely as she is she is barely five foot tall. I can't help but feel concerned.
