Yucky Yorkshire Weather!!

Drove over to Yorkshire last night to see the other half....camera and outdoor gear all packed and ready for a day out to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park today!! Awoke this morning to the most miserable weather I have seen all year :( grey, damp, drizzly, dull....I could go on and on. Not really a good day to visit a sculpture park we figured. GUTTED.

So instead, we hung around his flat for a little while, debating what to do on this miserable Yorkshire day. Eventually, we decided to have a trip to the White Rose Centre near Leeds...and unsurprisingly, we weren't alone in this decision. So instead of a nice day relaxed day out together, it has been a manic afternoon of trying to push through crowds of shoppers and screaming kids. Not exactly how we had planned to spend out Sunday together...but, it was time together nonetheless - for which I should be grateful.

I think what made it worse, was knowing full well that the sun was beaming down in Lancashire, just over those pesky Pennines


As for tonights picture....this is one of the last remaining plants in the garden. It's petals are looking considerably windswept - so I figured we had both been affected by the weather today. Am hoping it doesn't get too cold, that way all those buds in the image might get a chance to flower before winter.
