Dave Cohens.....

This is a part of a display that Dave Cohen is working on for an exhibition to be held in Aberdeen Art Gallery in 2012.

When I looked in on him today he was sat with a pastel array of glazes before him, painting them into beautifully delicate line work on to equally wonderful shaped bottles. The atmosphere that emanates when he is at his work is very therapeutic. Beyond him through the closed door is a studio whose walls are filled with his ceramic plates, each a work of art. Against a side wall is the makings of a room built in transportable sections and already covered in plates and the bananas he's been making in ceramic. It is so very exciting. I fear my words and picture do not do justice.
