Forest Devastation

We went for a walk today in the Afan Forest. Supposedly to collect leaves and pine cones for Xmas decorations for Sophie to make.
Instead we were greeted with this image.

This is the result of the recent outbreak of Phytophthora Ramourum. A tree disease that wipes out forests. The only way to prevent further damge is to cut down the trees effected.
