It's the Little Things....
This morning, I was outside noticing that a few of my perennials are still in fine shape even though we have had a couple of fairly severe frosts. Even the Calendulas are doing great, although they are annuals.
And then, there is the miniature rose bush. I planted that bush years ago...we have lived here for nineteen years. I had bought three mini rose bushes at the time. One varigated, one red, and one yellow. Two bushes died out long ago, but the varigated one has been faithfully blooming for all these years, even though I have neglected to care for it properly.
I love the roses on this bush...they are just awesome! I decided the roses would be best enjoyed inside. Not only has this bush been great in its abundant blooms, but to be blooming in November?
I cut the tiny stems and placed them in a shot glass... it isn't used for anything else...I only bought it for the Scottie on it! Somehow, those roses just look so beautiful in that glass. Funny how such a tiny thing can bring such pleasure. Just one of life's little pleasures....
