Took Lucy & Graham to see their "Great 1/2 a Banana" today (that's Nana, in case your wondering), up in Sunny Clydebank. A round trip of some 80 miles. On the way I decided to experiment with the phone holder in the car. Fired off a few shots as we were driving, and caught this as we were heading up the A737 towards Glasgow.
On another note, the weather report for tonight was clear skies, so I really hoped to try and image M45, but due to the fact that the Moon is just past full, then there's no point. It just bleaches out everything in the night sky.
Tomorrow I also hope to do the shoestring gp-usb mod to the telescope mount, and prepare it for computer controlled auto-guiding using guidedog to track the motion of the stars for imaging!
