Quality Matters

This is my first day entering a blipfoto.com entry, a habit I have picked up from my beautiful and intelligent niece, MaLinda. I have committed today to finishing my online HOT (Hybrid and Online Teaching), which will enable me to teach online for Central Oregon Community College. During the program, I was invited to become a reviewer for the Quality Matters Program. A number of us who had the privilege and honor of participating are now enrolled in a more advanced course that will provide us with the credentials needed to evaluate online and hybrid courses at institutions of higher education throughout the country. The HOT course and Quality Matters training have been terrific experiences. My hope is to be able to teach part-time or perhaps full-time while completing a doctorate. In fact, next on my agenda is completing teaching applications to Oregon State University--Cascades and several community community colleges within driving distance of Central Oregon.
