Thank you all for your lovely comments, much appreciated. I took this blip just before Merlin started on BBC1, out of our kitchen window.

Mum is home safe and sound after her operation yesterday. Jock went to get her from Newcastle nice and early, he even managed to get there before she was ready which has never happened before.

Mike and I went to the bank to sort out home insurance quotes and then went looking for our wedding rings. In the afternoon Mike's Mum, Dad & Gran came round. Mike and his Dad have been flooring our loft. So it was up to me to entertain his Mum and Gran for 5 and a half hours.

After that it was time for tidying up, dinner and settling down to watch tv.
