Solitary Tree in Soggy Field

Early start today. Mum (GG) was taking another trip down to Chandler's Ford to visit her friends Anne & Ed. Picked up some treats for the train and then helped her board the 9.56 East Coast train from Perth to King's Cross. She is met at the station by Ally & Andy, Anne's daughter and hubby and then on to their connection train to Southampton.

Hubby and I then had a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast in Reid's cafe. I saw that dine in for £10 was on again this week in M&S so headed there and boy was it mobbed! It was delicious!

Because it was such a lovely day decided to blitz the back garden which was in dire need of some TLC. Much later, with no picture, I thought of this tree, which is a short 5 min drive from the house. The field was very soggy, but needs must, and this is the result. I thought the sunset would have been better but never mind, it's not too bad.

We are now sitting with the apple pie and ice cream, and our third try to finish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. We are enjoying it, it's just that we start to fall asleep so hopefully will finish it tonight.

Picked up a book in the charity shop The Good German, if anyone has read it let me know what you think. It has good reviews so looking forward to reading it.
