Here's the next inscription along from this one, on the Museum of Edinburgh in the Canongate. A bit out of focus I'm afraid, but it was from a moving bus again. I was caught out by the daylight disappearing so early - I tried taking some shots of Arthurs Seat in the fading light but they were too gloomy. And it wasn't even 3.30 pm - pah!
Anyway,
"As you are the master of your tongue, so am I the master of my ears.";
that's my best shot anyhow. Possibly another way of saying "You can say what you like but I don't have to listen to you"??
