running commentary

Theres only one way to find out....

Hmmm, now I like this photo I took today of some old mine workings with views of mountains behind....

and I also like this photo I took a while later at a Cross Country event......

but which is better?

Answer - the runner is a better photograph.
Why? - Because the one you see above has gone through Lightroom to a significant degree whereas the runner had only a bit of blueness and minus exposure taken from the sky - in fact it was quite good as shot.

For information - this was taken from the head of Coledale Valley, (Lake District near Keswick)just below Force Crag, where there are endless possibilities for Blips of the old workings. Looking in the opposite direction to this you can get waterfalls as background to the long abandoned buildings.
The white building high up the hill is the Underscar Hotel. The smallish hill with trees on its lower slopes is Lattrig and the one with cloud on it's top is Blencathras Blease fell flank. Skiddaw completes the picture although only its lower slopes heading up left out of the shot
