Sunset of the year

I nearly didn't bother going out for the sunset tonight but since the sun sets directly behind the Castle from Calton Hill I made the effort and I'm so glad I did. There was just enough cloud to carry the light and about 10-15 minutes after the sun set the colours were at their best. Calton was heaving with photographers tonight, no wonder with scenes like this.

Shot with the Nikon D7000, Nikon 18-200mm VRII, Hitech 150 0.9 and 0.6 grads stacked and offset with the 0.9 deeper than the 0.6.
