Great and British!

Most of the telephone boxes around here are pink - unloved, unpainted and faded in the Scottish sunlight.

But this one stands proud. Right beside it is a red mail box, a bus stop - very well kept and painted and a village notice board - in tact, with up to date info on it.

This is the hub that is Lamberton. From Berwick-upon-Tweed you travel north, and 300 yards past the Welcome to Scotland sign , you turn left for Lamberton.

Some city commuters live here as well as some farmers, a junk yard that Steptoe and Son would be proud of, some of my greatest friends and family and ...an influential councillor.
