This is the life

It was a late start to the day but after enjoying a long lie in I finally felt like I'd caught up on much needed sleep. We noticed a place earlier in the week which served a full English breakfast so we hot-footed it down there for a taste of home. After breakfast we went to check out Lake Kourna as it was recommended to us by our friendly waiter. Once we eventually found the place we hired some pedalos, had a swim and spent a few hours soaking up the scenery. On the way back we saw a beautiful small white church looking out to sea in Georgioupolis (between Rethymnon and Chania). We would have stopped but the boys were eager to get to the beach at Almirida. We ate at our usual place at Plaka in the evening.
