Our Year 11's left today. Had one of those moments that makes you realise everything is worth it. One of our pupils who has a statement of special educational needs because of learning difficulties actually put her hand up in front of 160 people and then, in front of everyone, thanked me for the support she had received over the last two years. What pleased me most wasn't the thanks I received but the fact that she has developed into a person who has the self confidence to speak in front of so many people. Quite an emotional moment.
