Rememberance At Pinewood

There is a memorial at Pinewood Studios for the photographers and cinematographers who lost their lives in the 2nd WW.

Today's was the busiest service I've ever seen and I've been attending these for a few years. It was good to see what must have been 100 people who work at Pinewood taking the time to remember the fallen.

In terms of numbers lost compared to their unit size the Film and photo unit lot a very high percentage of their number. They leave us with an amazing record of the horror of war.
We also remember those who have been lost in more recent campaigns so it was very poignant.
