A seasider's view

A full moon at dawn

With frightening predictability, I regularly miss the earlier train I optimistically aim for whenever I have a child-free morning (i.e. when I have no excuse to miss the train).

Which is what I did this morning, but instead of sitting mumping in the car at the station, I took the chance to pull off the bypass and take a few pics of the great full moon, just as the sun was making its entry.

Been meaning to do this since I started blipping - the view from where I stopped looks over Stevenston, Irvine and on to the southern reaches of Ayrshire, and it looks stunning in the early morning light. I'm just always running late, or I don't think to stop if I'm not.

So today's shot has the full moon in its glory heading for the hills over towards Dalry, while the lightening sky behind me cast some gentle colours on the trees and fields in the foreground of the shot.
