In Seattle
Today I met Pam at the airport in Seattle; Pamela flying in from Chicago, and me from San Antonio. First thing we did was go to Chrissy Wai Ching's design studio; she is a fashion designer who Pam may get her wedding dress from. Her designs are really beautiful and unique. Chrissy Wai-Ching's website This is a photo of one of the dresses Pamela is not going to choose. I really don't want to spoil the real surprise for anyone. Later we checked into our hotel, picked Aimee up from the Airport, and went out to a few bars. We stumbled upon one called the Funhouse right next to the space needle; we were drawn in by the horrifying clown head hung outside of the building. We were looking forward to going in and talking to a bunch of creepy mysterious clown people, but that's not what happened at all. It was actually a venue/ bar with some clowns and shrunken head strewn about. The bartenders told us about some other places to go, so we ended up at some other bar/ restaurant, and found that they stop selling beer much earlier than they do in Texas....at bars anyways. We met a guy there named Jay who helped us play an electronic bar game Pam and I refer to as the boob game. He invited us to his bar the next day and gave us free drinks... so nice! Basically, this meeting ended our night, and we went to the hotel and slept. Just after one day, I was given the impression that Seattleites are really nice, genuine people, and yep, this was definitely proven correct.
