Bab Al Shams desert resort and spa - heaven!

In the last few years we've made a poor effort to celebrate the husband's birthday. Last year work commitments meant that we had to stay in Baku (and I was pregnant). The year before we returned from a holiday in the Seychelles the day before his birthday. The year before that we flew from Mumbai to Sydney on his birthday, so spent 12 hours on a plane... and no we didn't get an upgrade. So it was time to mark it properly, and we treated ourselves to a few nights out in the desert in an Arabian village style resort. It was wonderful. Walking around at night the corridors and courtyards sparkled with lanterns - D loved it! It was also our second third wedding anniversary today. Yes that's right, the 3rd anniversary of our second wedding - the one in India :)
