Family

Have arrived in Melbourne, staying with my brother Andrew and his lovely wife Joan. We (being myself, Mum and her friend Mark) are down primarily for Mum's birthday which is today, the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in the eleventh year. What a wonderful opportunity to catch up and see where Andrew and Joan now are (having this year moved from Perth).

These figurines are of opaque blasted glass and are catching a thrown rainbow effect of the late afternoon light. They were bought in a fantastic gallery in the Margaret River area in Western Australia. Each member of their family was given a figurine - each one different, so that when your eye falls upon them, you naturally think of the others that make up this special group. Separated by great distances, these figures connect this family in a unique and special way.
