Exposed roots

I stayed home this morning, as we had the heating/air-conditioning people coming to do their annual maintenance on the heating system. The morning had been sunny, though quite cold, but more clouds spread in during the afternoon, and while I was driving to the "Y" to go swimming there was a shower with the odd snowflake mixed in with the rain! I think winter's coming! On my way back home, I stopped off in Pioneer Park for a short photo walk, where I took this shot of tree roots by the stream.
