And so it begins ...

First one of my co-workers said over the intercom: "Look outside - it has begun."
Then the Beloved emailed me: "Find a window and look outside - it has started.

And sure enough; I saw the snowflakes flying. No accumulation though, as two days ago it was still no-coat weather.
Still, today has been marked as the start of winter.

To celebrate I got hailed on after work and the photo that I had called "Lonely Gull" in my head got renamed into "Lonely Gull in Hailstorm".

Back in the car the Beloved covered his ears when the hailstones slid underneath my coat and down my back and front and had me screaming like a banshee.
