Yes we have no bananas
Bananas have been in extremely short supply after the effects of hurricanes in Queensland earlier in the year. The first crops after the devastation are starting to be harvested. Australia has a nutty policy of not importing bananas because of the threat of diseases to the existing plantations. So Australians, including me have basically not eaten bananas for about 6 months. Neither would you I would say if you had to pay up to $15 a kilo. Last Saturday's price, reflects increased supply. Still too expensive for me.
